Tallinn Old Town – the centerpiece of Tallinn, registered on UNESCO’s World Heritage list since 1997.
Your coach will take you to the Upper Town, along medieval walls, towers and spires, to the Tall Hermann Tower. Leave your coach for the casual stroll up Toompea Hill to Palace Square to see the Toompea Castle, nowadays the seat for the Estonian Parliament. Right across you will view the Russian Orthodox Church of St. Alexander Nevsky. Afterwards, you will pay a visit to the marvelous 13th-century Dome Church, containing large number of historical relics and artifacts. Then you will be treated to a breathtaking vista of the Lower Town. Limited time for shopping will be allowed. Follow your guide down Short Leg Street to the Lower Town, where you will be given an independent visit to the Town Hall Square – a marketplace for centuries. The most famed symbols of the city is the gothic Town Hall. You can try the fine spiced claret, renowned already in the Middle Ages in one of the oldest pharmacies in all of Europe – Town Hall Pharmacy. Have a look at Blackheads Brotherhood, Great Guild House and several medieval merchants’ houses. The passage through Viru Gates concludes your tour.
